We found out recently that our time in Bangkok has been extended until the summer of 2012. We were supposed to leave in March/April of 2012, but there were only 3 posts on that list -- Bangkok, Lisbon, and Helsinki. These were 3 of our original 4 possible assignments last year. So, Chris' CDO (Career Development Officer) told him that they've extended all 3 of these positions to the summer to give people more options. I suppose that having more options *could* be a good thing, but it could also be "bad"!! By "bad" I mean just harder.... But, I'm certain of this -- wherever we go, it'll be exactly where we're supposed to be! :)

We actually looked at the phone list of facility managers to see who's leaving posts in summer 2012. At first, I saw about 2 places on the list that seemed "ok". But, when we looked at it again last night, probably 75% were fine with me! Of course, Chris keeps getting nervous because Ethiopia is always popping up on lists...he doesn't want to go. I'd love to go back, but with older children. We'll see what God has in store! But, for now, we have the peace of mind knowing that we get to enjoy Bangkok a little bit longer....
