April was filled with Songkran and lots of time with friends. We had many play dates and birthday parties this month!
But, one of Max's favorite things he did was ride on the tuk-tuk with his friend, Iliyana. He had asked me for months to take a tuk-tuk to school (and it's too far of a ride from our house - they aren't the safest mode of transport, especially for a 3 year old!). However, he informed me that it couldn't be "any" tuk-tuk, it had to be the one Iliyana takes to school (which is the tuk-tuk at her apartment building and is a "cool" green and white - and the driver is always so sweet to Max when we'd see him at school. He'd even let Max pretend to drive the tuk-tuk at school.) So, I dropped Max of with her and her mom, Sayana, and off they went to school. Wow, did Max love that!! :)
Max and Siena met their friends, Josiah and Evie, at Ocean World and had a blast! Plus, it gave the moms a chance to catch up! :) Here are some pictures of the kids having fun. And no, they didn't get any ice cream even though it looks like they were all ready to break inside the ice cream container! :)
We also went to the birthday party for Max's best friend from preschool, Matthew. Matthew turned 3 and we had a blast at Funarium - an indoor play park in Bangkok.

What we are doing?
There's never a dull moment in our lives. After traveling the world in 2006, we came back to Raleigh to settle down. It didn't take long to get the travel bug again and in 2009, Chris accepted an offer to be a Facility Manager for the US State Department. We've added Max and Siena to the family and the four of us are now living in Bangkok! Next stop in 2012...Libreville, Gabon in west Africa!
